About the Captain

Captain Johnny Owens is a born-and-raised Key West Conch with a lifelong connection to the water. From an early age, he grew up on the boats with his father, immersed in the island lifestyle that many local families still rely on today. His upbringing was shaped by long days offshore, time spent at the sandbar, and the traditions passed down through generations of Florida Keys fishermen. Today, his father continues that legacy as a full-time stone crab and lobster fisherman, instilling in Johnny a deep respect for the ocean and its resources.

From the moment he could walk, the water felt like home. Whether relaxing on pristine sandbars, snorkeling the vibrant coral reefs, or cruising through familiar island waters, Captain Johnny has a genuine passion for everything the Florida Keys have to offer. He takes pride in sharing the hidden gems and local experiences that Conchs have cherished for generations and looks forward to welcoming guests aboard for an authentic Key West adventure.
